Lulu the pig got sick, and the TCM doctor dad made a quick and urgent decoction! (Follow-up) - He even caught the disease himself while taking care of Lulu the pig!

Lulu豬病,中醫爸爸急爆煲!(後續)- 照顧Lulu豬時自己都中招啦!

I even got infected while taking care of Lulu the pig!

While taking care of Lulu the pig recently, I unexpectedly caught the virus myself... I had a high fever of 40°C , chills, cough, headache, sore throat, and thick yellow phlegm—a whole set of symptoms.

Of course, I took medicine immediately! I alternated between Chinese and Western medicine, but to see the effects of each, I tried a few different medications:

Day 1: LeX Cold Relief

After taking the medicine twice, my body temperature dropped to around 38°C , and the chills and headache disappeared, but other symptoms remained.

That same evening: Special Effects Lucky X Cold Medicine

After taking the medicine twice, my temperature was still 38°C , and my cough lessened. However, what was unusual was that before the second dose, my chills were so severe that I almost couldn't get a prescription for any medicine... I don't know why. But by noon the next day, my temperature hadn't risen back to 40°C. I still had some chills, a strong cough with lots of phlegm, a sore throat, and a loss of voice.

Traditional Chinese medicine practitioner Grandpa intervenes + pear tea saves the day

The traditional Chinese medicine doctor prescribed me some herbal medicine, and I also drank pear tea (the recipe for which I shared in a previous post). Gradually, my sore throat lessened, my voice returned, my phlegm changed from yellow to clear, and I even cleared up some constipation. I felt so much lighter! By nightfall, my fever had finally broken!

Having a traditional Chinese medicine doctor as a father is really great!

Ginger and mugwort sachet + shower gel: a lifesaver for chills!

When you're feeling chilled, taking a warm shower is so refreshing! But I've discovered that the ginger and mugwort packets left over from postpartum care are incredibly effective when reused!

  • Soaking method : Boil a sachet of ginger and mugwort in water, sit in the bathtub and soak half of your body, then use the shower head to spray warm water from head to toe. It's so warm and comfortable!
  • Benefits : No eye irritation, and you only need to rinse with water to finish.
